Being from North Wales, it is almost a legal requirement to support Liverpool F.C, so it’s with the red half of Merseyside where my loyalty lies. I qualified from Leeds in 2002 with an Honours Degree in Dental Surgery [ BChD (hons)] . I still live in Leeds with my wife Emma, whom I married in 2008, and my cat Amber, who incidentally is a little rascal. In 2006 I gained the diploma of the member of the faculty of general dental practitioners from the royal college of surgeons. [FGDP (UK)]. My special interests in dentistry include cosmetic treatment (white fillings, veneers etc), endodontic treatment (root canal), and general restorative dentistry. I have completed over 450 hours of verifiable Continuing Professional Development in last 6 years (requirement is 90 hours), showing a commitment to keeping up to date and learning the latest techniques. My most recent courses include a 1-year program concentrating on cosmetic white fillings in 2006-2007 and a 1-year program dealing with high quality endodontic treatment 2007 - 2008. I am currently participating in a 1-year restorative dental course with the North of England Dental Academy. I always like to try and make a visit to the dentist feel as informal and relaxed as possible, and patients are more than welcome to bring in their iPods to listen to their own music during treatment. Outside of dentistry, I am a bit of a "petrolhead", and will quite happily keep rambling on about anything to do with cars. I also enjoy supporting the Welsh Rugby Union team, Leeds Rhinos, and of course Liverpool FC. One thing I have yet to grow out of is watching the odd Wrestling match or two, much to the surprise of many of our younger patients!
