Dental Treatments - General Dentistry
Crowns cap or completely cover a tooth and may be used for aesthetic or functional reasons. They may be implemented to amend tooth shape, size or strength.

Crowns are quite often used to strengthen teeth that have had root canal treatment as these teeth are more brittle and likely to fracture. They may also be used to repair the following oral conditions; excessive grinding of teeth or an improper bite, an irritable large filling, inadequate oral hygiene or ageing teeth.

For many years, traditional metal-based Crowns have been used to strengthen or rebuild teeth. Today, Porcelain Crowns are now an effective aesthetically pleasing option. They may be made to match the exact colour, texture and translucency as your natural teeth.

Bridges
Bridges are permanent restorations which act to ‘bridge’ the gap between two healthy teeth. The gap is filled with a ‘false tooth’ / Crown which is held in place by two adjacent Crowns. Bridges can help prevent other teeth from shifting out of position and improve the appearance of your smile.
