Dental Case Studies

Farsley Dental would like to talk you through some of our latest case studies, where you can see ‘before’ and ‘after’ pictures of our wide range of treatments.

Before Straight Teeth Braces

After Straight Teeth Braces

This lady presented concerned about her slightly crooked teeth, asking what could be done to improve the position and shade of her teeth. Matt straightened her teeth using the cosmetic Quick Straight Teeth system, which took only four months.

A thin wire retainer was then bonded in place, which cannot be seen from the front, in order to hold the teeth in place in the future and prevent them from returning to their previous position. A course of tooth whitening was then carried out to improve the shade of the teeth.

After Straight Teeth Braces

This lady presented concerned about her slightly crooked teeth, asking what could be done to improve the position and shade of her teeth. Matt straightened her teeth using the cosmetic Quick Straight Teeth™ system, which took only four months. A course of tooth whitening was then carried out to improve the shade of the teeth.

Before Teeth Restoration and Dentures

After Teeth Restoration and Dentures

This patient presented concerned about the severe wear to her lower teeth, and also asked about having her poorly fitting lower denture replaced, as she was struggling to eat with this. The four lower front teeth were then restored in one appointment using composite build-ups, which were provided without any prior drilling or preparation of the underlying tooth.

This technique is therefore more predictable and less destructive than more traditional techniques. Two crowns were provided on the back teeth which were designed to incorporate features that the new denture would fit snugly against, providing a highly accurate fit.

These cannot be seen from the front, so an improved appearance was achieved, while providing a denture that has a very tight fit, and the patient can now eat comfortably with.

Before Straight Teeth Braces

After Straight Teeth Braces

This patient asked about what could be done for her lower front tooth that was set back from the other teeth, and appeared dark on photographs. Matt gently straightened her teeth using the cosmetic Quick Straight Teeth system, which took only two months.

A thin wire retainer was then bonded in place, which cannot be seen from the front, in order to hold the teeth in place in the future and prevent them from returning to their previous position. A course of tooth whitening was then carried out to improve the shade of the teeth.

Before Veneers & Teeth Whitening

After Veneers & Teeth Whitening

This patient presented concerned about her worn down teeth, and also about the severely stained and discoloured fillings in her front teeth. Matt initially provided a course of tooth whitening to gently improve the shade of the teeth.

The six upper front teeth were then restored in one appointment using composite veneers, which were provided without any prior drilling or preparation of the underlying tooth other than removing the old stained fillings. This technique is therefore more predictable and less destructive than more traditional techniques.

The lower fillings were then removed and replaced using aesthetic composite restorations. The patient was very happy with the result and has had lots of positive comments on the improvement to her appearance.

Before Veneers

After Veneers

This patient presented concerned about the spacing between her teeth, and the general discolouration. Matt initially provided a course of tooth whitening to gently improve the shade of the teeth.

The four upper front teeth and two lower front teeth were then restored in one appointment using composite veneers, which were provided without any prior drilling or preparation of the underlying tooth, and are therefore more predictable and less destructive than more traditional techniques.

The spaces were closed, and the general shade of the teeth improved, providing a pleasing aesthetic result.
